Technical Requirements for Digital Layouts

General Requirements for Digital Posters:

1. Duration: Must be a multiple of 5 seconds (but not exceeding 60 seconds).

   • resolution and Orientation for 6x3, 8x4, 12x6 meters: 768x384 pixels (horizontal orientation).
   • for 3.14x2.3 meters: 678x468 pixels (horizontal orientation).
   • for “Darnytsa” screen: 1472x352 pixels (horizontal orientation).
   • for 4x8 meters: 384x768 pixels (vertical orientation).
   • for 1.2x1.8 meters: 440x616 pixels (vertical orientation).

2. Background: White backgrounds are not allowed.

3. File Size: Must not exceed 20 MB.

4. Video Content and TV Ads: Not accepted.

For Static Content:

1. Format: JPEG (extension .jpg) with minimal compression.

2. Resolution: 72 dpi.

3. Color Model: RGB.

For Animated (Dynamic) Content:

1. Format: MP4 (MPEG-4); square pixels; no subtitles; no audio channel.

2. Video Codec: H.264/MPEG-4 Part 10 or AVC.

3. Frame Rate: 25 fps (PAL).

4. Bitrate: 10 Mbps – 26 Mbps.

5. Color Depth: 8-bit.

6. Scan Type: Progressive.

7. Fonts characteristics: large fonts, sans-serif (e.g., Arial, Calibri), without shadows, visual effects, or contrasting colors compared to the background, not stretched vertically, with an aspect ratio not exceeding 1:1.5.

8. Text: simple, short, informative, easy to understand, free of technical jargon, spelling errors, and abbreviations. Text should be easy to read, clearly visualized, and not blend with other design elements.

9. Minimum Font Size: 12 pixels.

Disclaimer

1. Disclaimer must be on a separate banner that ensures high contrast in both static and dynamic formats and should be displayed throughout the content presentation.

2. Font Size at least 120 mm for 4x8 meters screens and larger. At least 60 mm for 2.3x3.14 meters screens. For 1.2x1.8 meters screens, at least 12 pixels.

3. Timing: If it’s not possible to include the full disclaimer in a 5-second video, the duration can be extended to 10 seconds or split into two parts: the main video for 5 seconds + full-screen disclaimer for 5 seconds.

Layout Recommendations:

1. Accepted Formats: Digital poster in JPG, digital animated poster in MP4, AVI with a frame rate of 25 fps, no sound.

2. Content: No more than 2 plots (slides) – no more than 2 trademarks (products, services, promotions).

3. Dynamic Effects: Various effects are allowed, such as flashing, rotation, scaling, element movement, glows, shining, text replacement, character animation, etc.
